Bevallingscursus, trading as Pregnancy Course Online, is responsible for processing your personal data as described in this policy. It applies to the online pregnancy and birth course offered on pregnancycourseonline.com.

What data we process and why
We only process data we need to deliver your course, answer your questions and comply with the law. For each purpose, the table shows which data we use and the legal basis under Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Health data
The fact that you are pregnant, and anything you tell us about your pregnancy or health, is health data. The law gives it extra protection.
We do not ask for your due date or other health information when you sign up for the online course.
If you share anything about your health in a question, we use it only to help you. We never share it.
We process this data based on your explicit consent: you provide it to us yourself. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We only share it with parties we need to deliver our services, or when the law requires us to.

Where required, we have a data processing agreement with parties that process data on our behalf. If data is transferred outside the EU, such as to the US, this only happens with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies: small files stored by your browser. We only place statistics cookies with your consent.

You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings (Cookiebot), linked at the bottom of the website, or delete cookies in your browser. Staying logged in to the online course may then no longer work.
How long we keep data
We do not keep your data longer than necessary. Invoices and payment records are kept for 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.

Security
We take appropriate measures against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
The website uses a secure connection (https).
Passwords are stored encrypted; we cannot see them.
Only Suzan and the technical administrator have access to the admin environment, each with a personal account.
The website and its plugins are updated regularly and backed up.
If you think your data is not properly secured or you see signs of misuse, please email info@pregnancycourseonline.com right away.
Your rights
You have a lot of control over your own data. Send your request to info@pregnancycourseonline.com; we will respond within 4 weeks.
Access: you can ask what data we hold about you.
Rectification: if your data is incorrect, we will correct it.
Erasure: you can ask us to delete your data, except what we are legally required to keep.
Restriction and objection: you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Data portability: you can request your data in a common file format.
Withdrawing consent: you can withdraw any consent you gave, such as for cookies, at any time.
We may ask you to confirm the request comes from you, for example by emailing from the address we have on file. We only ask for a copy of an ID document if there is truly no other way.
Not happy with how we handle your data? Please let us know first. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or the data protection authority in your own country.
Children and changes
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe this has happened, please contact us and we will delete that data.
We may update this privacy policy, for example when we start using a new service. The current version is always available on the website.
